Today, precious and semi-precious stones from Sri Lanka, particularly the famed Ceylon sapphire are celebrated around the world, securing the island’s place among the top five gem-producing nations. The Sri Lanka Gem & Jewellery Association (SLGJA) stands as the leading industry body, representing all facets of the gem and jewellery trade. With over 250 members responsible for more than 75 percent of the country’s gem and jewellery exports, SLGJA plays a vital role in shaping the future of the industry. In this context, it is only fitting that SLGJA presents Facets Sri Lanka 2027, the first major gem and jewellery trade event of the year.
